Description:
Creating competition situations where the players have to manage being in disadvantage in the point
Objetive:
The main goal is that the player learns how to generate power in his defense so he can neutralize the attack of the opponents.
Key aspects:
Generate power in forced positions
Get time to recover hitting high and deep
Use crosscourts when defending

Practical examples
Neutralize opponent’s attacks:
“Playing Up to 7 or 11 Points”:
Start of the Game: One player feeds the ball to the backhand side. The feed has to be slow and not too deep so this way the other player can start with the control of the point.
Scoring: +1 point (2 points total) in case any player executes a Winner shot.
Neutralize opponent’s attacks:
Same as in the other excercise but starting to the forehand side
VARIANTS: Directions may or may not be set on the first attack hit.
Neutralize opponent’s attacks:
Same as in the other excercise but feed to the backhand and the other player has to run around to hit the forehand.
VARIANTS: Directions may or may not be set on the first attack hit.
