Monday: Consistency and Defenses

Initial Part:

Physical Warm up.
10 ´ Adjust groups by levels: Work activitie “FH & BH baseline” & “Organize the players in different courts”.
Exercise 1: Slice backhand agains slice BH and after 3 minutes top sping FH agains top sping FH & BH vs BH (stop & hit if it is necessary).
Exercise 2: “eye speed or agility rallie” Baseline rally hitting with 2 balls.

Main Part 1:

30′ TECHNICAL – TACTICAL
“Live Ball Method”: BE CONSISTENT FROM DE BASELINE
Exercise 1 “Recognize when the player has to change line”: Keep a crosscourt Rally (between 1 and 2 shots) as follows: the green player is allowed to change down-the-line direction with his FH and BH. The blue player has to go all the time cross court.
Exercise 2: Idem changing roles.

Main Part 1:

«Drills» Baseline training: Controls with semi predetermined play directions.
Exercise 1 “2 or 3 towards weakest shot + 1”: The player puts the ball in play and the green player who plays with the blue as follows: the green hits 2 shots toward backhand and 1 shot toward forehand (player can make the variation 3 + 1) of the blue player, the blue hits free (all the time heavy). The purpose of the drill is to play collaboratively while being as consistent as possible.

Posicionamiento “juego de fondo”:

1 – Posición neutral (entre posición de ataque y defensa).

2 – Posición en disposición al ataque (cerca de la línea de fondo).

3 – Posición neutralización ataque (por detrás de la posición neutral).

Cargar golpeos sobre la debilidad del oponente:

1 – Cargar 3 golpeos sobre el golpe débil del oponente, posteriormente al hueco (repetidas veces).

2 – Idem pero cuando se cambia al hueco punto libre.

3 – Idem que anteriores pero 2 al golpeo débil 1 al hueco.

Caminar en los Ataques “dentro de la cancha”:

Caminar hacia la pelota ajustando la distancia de los píes anterior al “winner”

Ataques “hacia fuera de la cancha”:

Ataques dirigiendo el golpe fuerte y hacia la línea de singles (hacia afuera de la cancha)

Inicios de jugadas “con el Servicio vs resto”:

1 – 1er Servicios +  1º golpeos ataque vs resto y 1º golpeos de neutralización.

2 – 2º Servicio +  1º golpeos de neutralización vs resto ofensivo y 1º golpeos de ataque.
