Description:

The coach organizes games, points or “Games”, including activities focused on players learning and developing their competitive abilities based on creating game situations (isolated or not), where they can be practiced.

Goal of the activity

Create competitions where the objective of the game is based on closing the game in the net.

Planning of the session:

The planning of the session corresponds entirely to the coach, although the players should also propose different activities, where they enhance or improve their competitiveness.

Practical examples

Net game with coach:

“The 2 Kings at the Net Game”:

Players: 2 teams of 2 players per team.
Initial Positions and Start of the Game: there is 1 player competing and 1 player waiting from each team. The coach feeds the ball to the 1st player of a team and that player has to execute a volley and play out the point up to its termination.
Change of Positions: The team of players at the net play 1 point each. The players on the team hitting passing shots keep position for a maximum of 3 consecutive points in case of winning; in case of losing the point – the player is substituted by the teammate.
Scoring: The scoring is by teams, and whenever the game is terminated – the teams exchange roles. The team with the best result on both positions – wins.

Net Games “Without coach”:

Same game, but now the players are the ones feeding:

The players feeding – feed and play out 2 consecutive points (1 against each player of the opponent team).

The players playing at the net play 1 point each.

Net Game “with coach”:

Same game, but now the game is started by the coach feeding overheads to the team of players at the net.

Practical cases

In these competitive activities, the player who takes the initiative is the one who must initiate the action proposed by the coach.

Variants can be carried out in all proposals

Variants: Depending on the proposed exercises, perform the variants that the coach considers appropriate.
