Objetive:
Whenever possible, execute an approach shot in order to finish the point at the net with a Volley (preferably contacting the ball over the net).

Key Aspects (technical)
Take time away from the opponent, changing the feet ryhtm.
Move in a diagonal and contact the ball on the rise transfering the weight forward.
Use an open or close stands depending on the direction of run.
Termination of the shot with the leg going on the direction of the ball
- Land on the same leg when hitting close stands
- Pass inner leg when hitting open stands
Key Aspects (tactical)
When approaching the net there are certain “rules” that player has to follow to have a high % succecc rate:
- The amount of steps the player approaching has to take is lower than the amount of steps of the player passing.
- Hit more than one attacking groundstrokes from inside the court before approaching to the net. The excpetion is if the ball is clearly slow and high or the opponent is very forced and on the stretch, then it can be succesfull to approach.
- Approach to the open space, majority approaching down the line.
